Soft Tissue Sports Massage
Soft tissue therapy/sports massage is the scientific manipulation of soft tissue for injury prevention and therapeutic purposes, involving the restoration to normal functional activity of the various structures of the body. It is used to help prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activities, and to maintain it in optimal condition.
Massage techniques such as soft tissue release, muscle energy techniques and neuromuscular techniques may be used where necessary.
Swedish Massage
Best known for soothing tight muscles and boosting well-being, Swedish massage also offers a whole host of other health benefits, including:
Easing muscular strain by flushing out toxins, improving blood circulation throughout the body, helping to keep ligaments and tendons supple and improving range of motion, also reducing emotional and physical stress as well as easing back pain and chronic pain
Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy Massage is a lighter massage that emphasises on lymphatic drainage movements whilst the body and mind absorbs the powerful beneficial effects of the essential oils.
Your massage will be totally personal to you following consultation. Oils will be prescribed for your needs and desires for maximum benefit to your well-being
Reflexology
The theory of reflexology is that all the systems and organs of the whole body are mirrored or reflected in smaller peripheral areas, for example the feet and hands. As a reflexologist I will simply work those reflected areas with sensitive fingers, aiming to bring those areas back to balance and therefore aiding the body to work as well as it can.
Reflexology very much works on an individual basis, providing professional facilitation of your body’s own potential for well-being. An extremely relaxing treatment that aims to encourage balance and harmony through all the systems of the body.
